What are Mosquitoes?

Mosquitoes are small flying insects that breed in stagnant water. Only female mosquitoes bite, needing the protein in blood to produce eggs. • Pupa – In the pupal stage, the mosquito develops into an adult within 2-3 days. The pupa does not feed during this transition period.
• Adult – The adult mosquito emerges from the pupal case and flies away. Females seek a blood meal from humans or animals to get protein for egg development.
